About Me
Catherine O’Grady BSc

Training
I am a trained Psychotherapist and Counsellor. I studied with P.C.I. Dublin for four years and received my honours degree. I then furthered my training for another two years with the Marino Clinic in Dublin for eating disorders.
Here I learned specialised skills in helping people who suffer with or are affected by eating disorders.
I also trained and worked with a group called Support after Homicide. This group supported people who had been traumatised and bereaved through homicide. Recognising that creativity and art have a huge role to play in the therapeutic process
I did some training with Eileen Prendiville of The Children’s Therapy Centre. I continued further training and explored the area of mindful eating. I completed training on line with Jan Chozen Bays. Following on from this I then completed online training with Marc David on healing and transforming our relationship with food and our body. I have also done numerous workshops on nutrition.
I am also a member of Doctor Rick Hanson’s Foundation of Well Being Programme. Here I learned about the importance of resilience building in any recovery programme.
As a firm believer in lifelong learning I then completed online training for another year to bring me to next level Practitioner. This training involved a number of doctors and therapist teaching different skills to cope with trauma, overcoming anxiety, depression and offers different techniques for overcoming life situations.
I have just completed a further two years training in energy medicine; and I am now certified in Shamanic Energy Therapy. I am currently doing online training with Carolyn Myss.
